Triangle Lake was the first lake we attempted to bag on my birthday. It's the first one when coming down FS 4220 from the north. We drove into the campground, which was empty, and I saw a path beside an outhouse that looked like it might be a lake access trail. So I got out and hiked the short distance down the trail, which took me right to the edge of the lake. The lake wasn't visible from the campground, so I'm classifying this lake access as a trail even though it's a very short one.
The lake was pretty cool. It had a rough triangle-esque shape and was lined by soft-looking grass. The sky was blue with clouds, which made for some cool pictures. I was surprised by the lack of bugs; there didn't appear to be any mosquitoes, or at least none that bit me.
If for some reason it isn't possible to access the lake through the campground, it can also be accessed along the Lodgepole Trail #706, which goes by the north end of the lake.
