It was around 4pm in the afternoon when we stopped at the trailhead for Sahalie Falls. We lucked out finding a parking spot and took a short hike down the trail to a view of Sahalie Falls. There's a whole trail system around the area, it even leads to a second falls. We were pressed for time, so decided to just do the short hike to the view of Sahalie before continuing on our road trip.

I was shocked at how beautiful the waterfall was. There was still vibrant moss surrounding the falls in mid-September! It was stunning and I totally get why it's such a popular spot.

The forest service stresses not parking along the highway.
