We drove down NF 4635 and went to the Cultus Lake Day Use Area. The parking area wasn't all that big. We got out of the car and went down to the lakes edge. It was an inlet that had a sandy shore with some downed trees along the beach. it’s pretty small. We were able to see some of the lake, but it appears this lake might best be explored by water to see it in its entirety.

There is also the Winopee Lake Trail #16 that travels along the north side of the lake (for day use there are free, self issued wilderness permits, but for overnight use a Central Cascades Wilderness Permit is required. I'd recommend checking out the Forest Service page for more information.)
