It was getting near the end of the day in our adventuring and I really wanted to check out this lake, so we drove up the bumpy road. Depending on conditions it may require a high clearance vehicle. In June of 2021, I had attempted driving to this lake, but snow stopped me a half mile before the turn off for FS 016.
There is a dispersed campground by the lake that was full when we got there. Since it was late in the day and there was no easy spot to park, I just took pictures from the car. I plan to come back to this lake with a kayak in the future. The water was an incredible blue color.
