We drove through the campground which was very popular and then pulled off at the day use area. The haze from the wildfire smoke was thick enough that we couldn't even see the mountain. Usually on a clear day the mountain is fully visible from the lake.

I briefly walked down one of the trails and came to a footbridge that was perfect for taking pictures. This lake is a popular camping and water activities destination. We saw lots of dragonflies, some kayakers on the lake, and some mosquitoes. There is a trail that goes around the lake. It was near the end of the day so I didn't get to do it. I'd love to come back to this lake to camp, kayak, and hike.
