Little Blitzen Overlook is on the west side of the road where the road curves. There’s a short trail to the overlook that’s about 0.3 miles round trip. It follows along the ridge line, slightly descending to a rock outcropping with a wonderful view of Little Blitzen Gorge. I think it’s so cool how the three gorges in the Steens have different looks to them. Little Blitzen has some of the most intense rock cliffs out of the three gorges. It is stunning.

The trail is easy to follow and well worth the short hike. There were wildflowers along the trail like Indian Paintbrush in bloom.
