We drove to the Rock Creek Boating Site and made our way to the lakes edge. We had it all to ourselves. We walked to the end of the short dock along the boat launch and took picture of the lake. It was very smokey, but the water along with it looked really pretty.

The reservoir is huge and there are many different points of access along its edge. The Forest Service also mentions that "Craine Prairie Reservoir is great for wildlife viewing."
