Chickahominy Reservoir is right off Hwy 20, just a few miles west of Riley, OR. It has a day use area, boat launch, and campground. I stayed in the campground once with my dad years ago on the way to a backpacking trip in eastern Oregon.
This time around we stopped at the reservoir to have lunch on our way home from Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. The reservoir is a decent size with a fish cleaning station near the boat launch. It was very windy while we were there. I'll have to stop by here again to try some fishing.
